The release of Darshan's Kurushetra postponed to August 9

Kurukshetra has been in the news for the longest time due to the film's tryst with postponements. Finally the makers decided to release the film on August 9. But it was then that the Prabhas-starrer Saaho was announced that it will be released on August 15 and Kurukshetra got pushed to August 2. With the former now officially postponing its release date to August 30, Kurukshetra has once again gone back to its original release date of August 9 to coincide with Varamahalakshmi. An official announcement on this is expected to be out soon.

Kurukshetra , made in Kananda, will be dubbed and released in Telugu, Tamil, Malyalam and Hindi. With Darshan as Duryodhana in his 50th film, the ensemble cast consists of Ambareesh as Bheeshma, Ravi Chandran as Krishna, Arjun Sarja as Karna, Nikhil Kumar as Abhimanyu and Danish Akhtar Saifi as Bhima.

Kurukshetra will be out in both 2D and 3D formats. The film has music by V Harikrihsna and cinematography by Jayanan Vincent.
