Gopinath Rajendran

We had previously reported that the Telugu film C/o Kancharapalem will be remade in Tamil. It's now known that the film will go on floors soon and will be set in Madurai.

"We are planning to start the shoot from 29th of this month in Madurai, which will be the backdrop for the film as well. It will be a faithful remake of the original film with some necessary changes for nativity's sake. The cast is predominantly filled with newbies and we are planning to announce their names soon via a trailer," says debutant director Hemambar Jasthi, who has previously been associated with several Mahesh Babu films such as Okkadu, Takkari Donga, and Athadu, and has worked with directors such as Gunasekhar, Trivikram Srinivas, Jayanth C Paranjee, and K Raghavendra Rao.

Sweekar Agasthi, who composed the music for C/o Kancharapalem, will be debuting in Tamil with this yet-to-be-titled film, while Gunasekaran, who has assisted RD Rajasekhar, will be handling the cinematography. The makers are planning to complete the remake in two schedules by September, so that the film is ready for release by the end of October.
