Arun Prabhu, who made waves with his first directorial Aruvi, is now back with his second venture, Vaazhl. The crew has finished shooting for the film and the post-production is now in progress. In the announcement, the makers also revealed that the film was shot for more than 75 days in over 100 locations. 

Jointly produced by Kalai Arasu and actor-producer Sivakarthikeyan, the film will predominantly feature newcomers. Vaazhl has music by Pradeep Kumar and cinematography by Shelley. The film is expected to get a release later this year. Interestingly, Vaazhl was supposed to be Arun Prabhu's first film, but got pushed to several reasons. 

Vaazhl is Sivakarthikeyan’s third production after Kanaa and Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja.
