Aramm-fame Gopi Nainar's name has been associated with several projects in the past year. Multiple reports stated that he was working on the sequel to Aramm, a football-based film starring Jai and Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead, a film with Bobby Simha and a biopic of tribal freedom fighter Birsa Munda. Recently it has come to light that the director will be joining hands with Samantha for a new film. 

According to reliable sources, shooting of the Jai starrer is currently in progress and the director will begin working on the Samantha filmsoon. The new film is speculated to be a film with a strong social message like Aramm, but it won't be a sequel to the original. An official announcement is expected soon. 

Samantha, whose Oh Baby is hitting the screens tomorrow, is currently working on the Telugu remake of 96 and she also recently shot for a cameo role in Nagarjuna's Manmadhudu 2.
