Thalapathy 64 update: Raashi Khanna, Rashmika Mandanna to play the female leads in Vijay’s next with Lokesh Kanagaraj?

CE Features

Even before Vijay’s upcoming film, Bigil, hits the screens, speculations are already rife about the Mersal actor’s next film. Tentatively referred to as Thalapathy 64, the film will be helmed by Maanagaram-fame Lokesh Kanagaraj.

While it was earlier speculated that Rakul Preet might play the female lead, it now looks like the film will have two female leads. Reports also suggest that Geetha Govindam-fame Rashmika Mandanna and Raashi Khanna, who was recently seen in Ayogya, have been roped in for the project.

Notably, Rashmika is making her Tamil debut with Karthi’s film, directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan, and Lokesh’s second film, Kaithi, has Karthi as the male lead. The post-production work on Kaithi is currently underway.

On the other hand, Bigil, helmed by Atlee, will hit the screens this Diwali. Apart from Vijay, the sports drama will feature Nayanthara, Indhuja, Varsha Bollamma, Amritha, and Reba Monica John.
