Tamannaah's upcoming horror-comedy, directed by Adhey Kangal-fame Rohin Venkatesan, went on floors last month in Chennai. Now, we hear that the women-centric film has been titled Petromax. The name comes from Goundamani's famous line, "Petromax lightey daan venumaa?" in his comedy track with Senthil in the 1984 film, Vaidehi Kathirunthal.

Said to be a remake of Telugu hit, Anando Brahma, starring Taapsee, the film was shot in 42 days without a break. The first ten days of the shoot happened in Chennai, while the rest of the film was shot in Karaikudi.

Taapsee Pannu took to Twitter to release the film's title look.

Kajal Aggarwal shared the first look poster of the film earlier today

The first look shows an upside-down room, with Tamannaah in the middle sitting on a chair with a playful smile. Yogi Babu, Sathyan, Munishkanth and Kaali Venkat peep into room, from the doorway with anxiety.

Also starring Yogi Babu, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Bhagavathi Perumal in supporting roles, the film's music is composed by Ghibran, while Dani Raymond of Achcham Yenbathu Madamaiyada fame handles the cinematography. Art director Vinodh of Vikram Vedha fame is in charge of the film's production design.

Interestingly Tamannaah has previously dabbled in the horror-comedy genre with the 2016 Vijay-directorial Devi, and its recently released sequel, Devi 2. She also has untitled a Vishal-starrer, directed by Sundar C, That is Mahalakshmi (Queen's Telugu remake), Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, and the third instalment in the Telugu hit franchise, Raju Gari Gadhi, in the pipeline.
