The first look poster of Pechi, a horror film directed by Ramachandran, was launched by actors Suriya, Vijay Sethupathi and Aishwarya Rajesh. 

Pechi is based on a short film of the same name which received much acclaim from legendary filmmaker Balu Mahendra.

The team of Pechi has planned to shoot the film in dense forests over a single schedule of 30 days. The makers promise that Pechi will be 'unlike other regular horror films in Tamil cinema'. 

Ramachandran is said to have done much research into black magic and witchcraft for Pechi. "It will be a unique adventure treat for the audience," promises Ramachandran.

Bankrolled by R Paranthaman, Vignesh Selvarajan, and Vijay Kandasamy under the Veyilon Entertainment banner, Pechi has music by Justin Prabhakaran and cinematography by Parthiban.
