Arun Vijay and director Magizh Thirumeni combo's city-based thriller subject, Thadam,  has been scheduled for release on February 22. Arun plays a dual role in the film -- one, that of an engineering graduate (Kavan), and the other, a North Chennai-based gangster (Ezhil). Initially, it was said that the film would release for the Tamil New Year (April 14), but due to the various reasons, the film was repeatedly delayed.

Thadam, which will see Arun in dual roles for the first time in his career, is based on a real-life incident.

The film also has Tanya Hope, Smruthi Venkat, Yogi Babu, Sonia Aggarwal and Vidya Pradeep in pivotal roles.
