Radhika Prasidhha, who made heads turn with her performances in Kuttram Kadithal and Kadugu, has written, directed and starred in a short film, titled I Exist. The short, which was launched on YouTube on Monday for public viewing, has won the Best film award in All Lights India International Film Festival and Woodpecker International Film Festival. 

The short film with an experimental narrative, which explores the mindset of an average Indian woman during various stages of life, also talks about their insecurities and the gender disparity in the society. 

Asked if she anticipated such a reception for her short at film festivals, the actor-director says, "I initially wanted this film to be an acting exercise for myself as I was feeling a bit stifled with the kind of roles I was offered recently. But then, we felt that the film had the potential to be sent to festivals. We were confident that the film would get selected, but we did not expect it to win awards." 

Radhika adds that she is currently working on a few scripts. "I am penning some scripts now, but I haven't decided whether they will be made into plays or more experimental films. I'm also looking forward to acting in scripts from others which offer me unique characters."
