MGM studio has hired Bourne Ultimatum writer, Scott Z Burns to rewrite the script of the latest instalment of the James Bond franchise. While Neal Purvis and Robert Wade had already drafted a version of the script, it is being reported that the studio was not satisfied with the story.

The release of the Cary Joji Fukunaga-directorial, which will see Daniel Craig return as the famed British spy for the fifth time, was recently pushed back by two months.

Bond 25 has also faced other hurdles. The film was first supposed to be directed by Academy Award-winner Danny Boyle, with a release date of November 8. But the fallout between the studio and Boyle pushed the release date to February 14, 2020.

The yet-to-be-titled film, which now has a new release date (April 8, 2020), will have Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris and Ben Whishaw reprising their roles.
