Jai, who was last seen in Jarugandi, will now be playing a cameo in Simbu’s upcoming film, Maanaadu. Directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by V House Productions, the film is said to be a political entertainer.

Notably, Jai has previously appeared in cameo roles in two of Simbu’s earlier releases — Vaalu and Idhu Namma Aalu. The Engeyum Eppodhum actor is also known to be a regular collaborator of Venkat Prabhu’s, having been part of several of the filmmaker’s earlier projects.

Last seen in Vandha Rajavathaan Varuven, Simbu has reportedly gone to Mauritius to train in martial arts for Maanaadu.

Venkat Prabhu, on the other hand, is currently awaiting the release of Party, which features a bevy of stars including Jai, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, Mirchi Siva, Regina Cassandra and Nivetha Pethuraj.
