Kajal Aggarwal is all set to debut as a producer with a new Telugu film, in which she will also play the lead. The film, directed by Prasanth Varma, will be bankrolled by the Khaidi No.150 actor under KA Ventures.

Prashanth Varma, who made an impressive debut with Awe, is currently directing the Telugu remake of Queen, That is Mahalakshmi, as well as the investigative thriller, Kalki.

“Kajal has been longing to turn producer and is keen to make content-driven films. Impressed with the storyline pitched by Prasanth during That is Mahalakshmi’s Europe schedule, she has agreed to act and back this project. A young actor will play the male lead in the film, which will go on floors later this year,” reveals a source.

Meanwhile, Kajal is currently juggling between the sets of Sita and Bharateeyudu 2.
