Rohit Shetty has signed Farah Khan to direct an upcoming film under his production banner, Rohit Shetty Picturez. The as-yet-untitled film will be presented by Reliance Entertainment. 

“It’s a privilege for my production company to have Farah on board to direct a film for us as she is extremely talented and hard working. It will definitely be a wonderful association. I can’t wait to start work with this extremely talented powerhouse,” Rohit said in a statement. 

An ace choreographer, Farah Khan made her directorial debut with the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Main Hoon Na (2004). It was followed by Om Shanti Om (2007), Tees Maar Khan (2010) and Happy New Year (2014). Speaking about her return to filmmaking, Farah shared, “Sometimes the universe just conspires to give you what you didn’t even imagine. Together with Rohit, who I genuinely love as a brother, and whose work ethic I respect and share, I can only promise a ‘mother of all entertainers’! Can’t wait to say ‘Roll camera’ for this one.”

Rohit Shetty has co-produced all his directorial ventures since Singham Returns (2014). This is the first time another director has joined his banner. Besides Farah's film, Rohit Shetty Picturez plans to roll out original web-content this year, in addition to catering to a younger fan base with animated content like Little Singham on Discover Kids.
