Quentin Tarantino was in plans of making a Star Trek film and reportedly pitched an idea to JJ Abrams, who rebooted the film series in 2009.

Later, the Kill Bill director said that he might not be doing the project and will focus on some other film, which will mark the last venture of his career.

However, Simon Pegg, the lead actor of Star Trek film series has said that Quentin might come on board for the project.

He was quoted as saying, “As far as I know, Quentin Tarantino's Star Trek idea is still kind of in the mix. That's down to Q.T. as far as what he wants to do next.”

Yet, it is still unclear whether Tarantino will take up the Star Trek project. The director is currently is basking on the success of his recent film Once Upon a Time In Hollywood.
