It was earlier announced that director Gautham Menon will be playing an important role in Sibiraj's Walter. Now, it has been revealed that the filmmaker has been replaced by cinematographer-actor Natty (a) Nataraj Subramaniam.

The director of the film, Anubu clarifies that a clash of dates is the reason for Gautham opting out of the project. "Gautham Menon sir had to leave the project due to his directorial commitments.
