Suriya's next film after  Sudha Kongara's Soorarai Pottru will be directed by Vetri Maaran. The film, which is currently being referred to as Suriya 40, will be bankrolled by S Dhanu's V Creations. 

The announcement has come as a surprise as it was speculated earlier that the director will be joining hands with Vijay for Thalapathy 65. The makers are yet to announce the rest of the cast and crew.

It may be recalled that Vetri Maaran's recent film Asuran, starring Dhanush in lead, was also produced by V Creations.

Apart from this, Suriya has another film with director Siva which will be bankrolled by Studio Green productions.
