The trailer of a parody film called The First Temptation of Christ, which is touted as a Christmas special, was released by Netflix. The promo depicted Jesus as a gay and Mother Mary as a weed-smoker. This has enraged thousands of believers, who have signed a petition seeking a ban on the film.

About 1.4 million people have signed the petition so far, and the goal is to get signatures from 15 million believers.

Netflix describes the movie as, “Jesus, who's hitting the big 3-0, brings a surprise guest to meet the family. A Christmas special so wrong, it must be from comedians Porta dos Fundo.”

The story of the film is about Jesus bringing home a friend named Orlando, but it is obvious to his family that they are not just friends.
