Aparshakti Khurana, lauded for his supporting turns in Stree, Jabariya Jodi and the recent Pati Patni Aur Woh, has landed his first lead role. The actor will star in an upcoming film titled Helmet, to be produced by Dino Morea.

Newbie Pranutan Behl, who made her Bollywood debut earlier this year in Notebook, will play the female lead opposite Aparshakti. Pranutan Behl is the daughter of actors Mohnish Behl and Aarti Behl.

Aparshakti is the younger brother of Ayushmann Khurrana. He made his film debut in Nitish Tiwari’s Dangal, and was seen in Saat Uchakkey, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, and Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi. His breakthrough role came as ‘Bittu’ — one of the two best friends of Rajkummar Rao in Stree. He followed it up with similar roles in 2019, co-starring with Kartik Aaryan in Luka Chuppi and Pati Patni Aur Woh and with Parineeti Chopra in Jabriya Jodi. He also had a cameo appearance in Bala, as the new lover of Ayushmann’s flame.

Besides Helmet, Aparshakti will be seen in Street Dancer 3D and Jayeshbhai Jordaar.
