Nayanthara starts shooting for RJ Balaji’s Mookuthi Amman

The film marks the directorial debut of RJ Balaji

Mookuthi Amman, which was announced a few weeks ago, went on floors with Nayanthara joining the sets of the film. RJ Balaji, who is directing the film along with NJ Saravanan, is also playing a lead role in the movie.

Nayanthara recently visited Tiruchendur Temple with director Vignesh Shivan, and later started the shoot for the film in Nagercoil.

It was initially speculated that the film would be a satirical comedy, but RJ Balaji revealed that Mookuthi Amman is a devotional film that he claims will be a treat for the family audience. It is said that the makers will wrap up the shoot in one go in Nagercoil.

Producer by Vels Entertainment, Mookuthi Amman will be released next summer.
