Vidya Balan’s Shakuntala Devi - Human Computer will be released on May 8, 2020. The film is a biopic on Indian mathematician and writer Shakuntala Devi.
Known for her mental arithmetic skills, Shakuntala Devi earned a mention in the Guinness Book of World Records. She also authored the book, The World of Homosexuals, considered to be the first study of homosexuality in India.
“The release date of Shakuntala Devi has been finalised and it will be released exactly 148 days from now,” Vidya said.
Shakuntala Devi - Human Computer is directed by Anu Menon. The supporting cast includes Jisshu Sengupta as Shakuntala Devi’s husband, Paritosh Bannerji, and Sanya Malhotra as their daughter. Actor Amit Sadh is also a part of the film.
Vidya Balan, who made her Tamil debut in a special appearance in Nerkonda Paarvai, was recently seen in Mission Mangal.
