Nivetha Thomas, who is currently awaiting the release of Rajinikanth-starrer Darbar, is in talks to star in the Telugu remake of National-award winning Hindi film, Pink. She is likely to reprise Taapsee's role in the court-room drama/social-thriller, which will be directed in Telugu by Sriram Venu.

Set to be launched in January, the principal shooting will commence after Sankranthi. Pawan Kalyan, who is stepping into the shoes of Amitabh Bachchan, will join the sets a month later.

The story of Pink revolves around three women who are aided by a retired lawyer in their fight over a molestation case against three boys from influential backgrounds. Directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, Pink won the Best Film On Social Issues award at the 64th National Film Awards.

Trivikram Srinivas is penning the dialogues for the remake produced by Boney Kapoor and Dil Raju. Incidentally, Boney also bankrolled Ajith's Nerkonda Paarvai, the Tamil remake of Pink. The Telugu remake is expected to hit the screens next Summer.

Apart from the Pink remake, Nivetha will also be seen in director Indraganti Mohan Krishna's multi-starrer V (for Violence). Also starring Nani, Sudheer Babu, and Aditi Rao Hydari, V will hit screens on March 25.
