Even as rumours of Rajinikanth teaming up with Kamal Haasan are making the rounds on social media, a new speculation has surfaced that Vijay and Vetri Maaran might soon be coming together for a film. 

The Asuran director has reportedly met the Bigil star and narrated a story. The meeting seems to have ended on a positive note and there is a high chance that the project might turn out to be Thalapathy 65.

Meanwhile, Vijay is busy wrapping up his upcoming film with Logesh Kanagaraj, which is tentatively called Thalapathy 64.

On the other hand, Vetri Maaran is working on his film with Soori in the lead role.
