Tom Holland was drunk while saving Spider-Man franchise

In a recent talk show, Tom Holland, the youngest actor to play the superhero Spider-Man, revealed how a phone call  from the pub to Disney CEO Bob Iger helped save the superhero movie franchise.

In August, Sony Pictures announced that they would not be teaming up with Marvel anymore for a Spider-Man film, much to the disappointment of fans around the world, who started petitioning on Twitter with the hashtag #SaveSpiderman.

Later, Holland got the number of Bob Iger on the pretext of wanting to thank him for ‘changing his life’. When Iger got back to Tom Holland, the actor was in a pub down three pints of beer.

Holland admitted that he got emotional and wept during the conversation as he felt like everything was coming to an end.

Later in September, Sony and Disney decided to team up and extend the universe of the web-slinger with Tom Holland. The phone conversation seems to have played an important role in the change of plans.

So, it was not Spider-Man but a drunk Tom Holland, who saved the day and kept the beloved superhero in MCU.
