We had recently reported that Nivin Pauly's next is titled Padavettu and that Aruvi-fame Aditi Balan has been cast as the female lead. The latest update is that filming of this project has commenced at Kannur.

Sunny Wayne is turning producer for the first time with Padavettu and the actor is bankrolling it under the banner of Sunny Wayne Productions. Debutant Liju Krishna is directing the film from his own script. Liju has previously directed an award-winning play called Moment Just Before Death, also produced by Sunny Wayne.

Aside from Nivin and Aditi, Padavettu will also feature Shine Tom Chacko and Shammi Thilakan. Govind Vasantha has been roped in to compose the music and Renganaath Ravee (Jallikattu) is working on the sound design. Deepak D Menon (Tharangam) is in charge of the camera, while Shafique Mohammed Ali (Thamaasha) is doing the editing.

Nivin, who is coming off the success of Moothon, will also be seen soon in Rajeev Ravi's Thuramukham, which is expected to get a release early next year.
