A new case filed against Simbu in Chennai commissioner's office?

CE Features

If reports are to be believed, a case has been filed in the Chennai police commissioner's office against Simbu, who was recently dropped from Venkat Prabhu's Maanadu after he had allegedly been the cause for the numerous delays in starting the film's shoot.

Simbu, who had been signed as one of the leads for the Tamil remake of the Kannada movie Mufti, produced by Gnanavelraja and co-starring Gautham Karthik, had reportedly flown to Thailand after announcing a film titled Maghaa Maanadu, and had not turned up for the remake's shoot.

Producer Gnanavelraja

As producer Gnanavelraja was not able to reach Simbu, he, along with Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya 2 producer Vijay Raghavendra, and Sundar of Screenscene, has reportedly filed a complaint against Simbu in the producers' council. In addition, it's also being said that they have lodged a case in the Chennai police commissioner's office.

It is expected that if the commissioner takes necessary action, Simbu might be soon extradited from Thailand officially.
