We had recently reported that the father-son duo, Sathyaraj and Sibiraj, will be joining hands after three years, for a film to be directed by Pradeep Krishnamoorthy. The filmmaker has previously directed Saithan, starring Vijay Antony, and Sathya with Sibiraj.

It has now been revealed that this yet-to-be-titled film is the official remake of the Kannada hit, Kavaludaari. The Kanada thriller, produced by Puneeth Rajkumar, and starring Rishi and Anant Nag as the leads, was well received by both the audience and critics. Kavaludaari follows a traffic cop, whose discovery of human bones, during road maintenance, leads him to the mystery of a 40-year-old case.

Sathyaraj, reportedly, will play the retired police inspector role, played by Anant Nag in the original, while Sibiraj will portray the role of the traffic cop played by Rishi.

Sathyaraj and Sibiraj were earlier seen together in Jackson Durai, Jore, Vetrivel Sakthivel, and Kovai Brothers.
