We had earlier reported that Shiva Sena had issued a statement condemning the first look poster of the upcoming film Puppy, which featured pictures of Nithyanandha and Johnny Sins next to each other. 

Following that Nithyanandha himself has sent a legal notice to the team claiming that they have depicted him in a defamatory and offensive way.

It may be recalled that director Nattu, who goes by the monicker of Morattu Single for the movie, had previously said to us that he never intended to hurt anyone's sentiments through the poster. "My protagonist is someone who idolizes Johnny and Nithyananda, and so we opted for the background with their posters because we felt that was the best way we could describe him in a single frame," he said.

Puppy, starring Yogi Babu, Samyukta Hegde and debutant Varun, is produced by the makers of Comali, Vels Film International. The film is expected to hit the screens in September
