Kajal Aggarwal, who had two releases this week in the form of Jayam Ravi's Comali and Sharwanand's Ranarangam, will reportedly be teaming up with Vijay Sethupathi for the first time, soon. Speculations are rife that it will be for a sequel to the 2018 superhit Telugu film, Awe, directed by Prashanth Varma, and co-starring Nithya Menen, Regina Cassandra, among others.

Kajal will be reprising her role as Kali, the troubled girl with multiple personality disorder in the sequel to Awe, which, incidentally, bagged two national awards this year, for best make-up and special effects.  Prashant has reportedly stated that he is planning the new film as a Tamil/Telugu bilingual, and hopes to rope in Vijay Sethupathi as the male lead. An official confirmation is awaited in this regard.

Kajal, meanwhile, has Indian 2, Paris Paris, Suriya 39 with director Siva, a yet-to-be-titled Tamil Hotstar web series directed by Venkat Prabhu, and Call Centre (English-Telugu bilingual), in different stages of production. Vijay Sethupathi, on the other hand, has Sanga Thamizhan, MaamanidhanSye Raa Narasimhaa Reddy, UppennaKa Pae Ranasingam, and an upcoming Bollywood production with Aamir Khan in the pipeline.
