Actor-director Samuthirakani might be the latest addition to Shankar’s Indian 2. According to reports, the Vada Chennai actor has been roped in to play a key role in the film. If it turns out to be true, Samuthirakani will be joining Kamal Haasan, Siddharth, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Kajal Agarwal, and Rakul Preet. The shooting for the film resumed recently after a break, in Rajamudhry, Andhra Pradesh.

Samuthirakani is also part of Rajamouli's upcoming biggie RRR, which also stars Ram Charan, Jr NTR, and Alia Bhatt. He will also be playing the antagonist in Allu Arjun's next with Trivikram.

Meanwhile, the Appa actor will also be making a comeback on the small screen. The actor-director, who worked on television serials before moving to the big screen, will soon be helming a Sun TV serial, starring Radikaa Sarathkumar. The duo have previously worked on the TV soap, Arasi.
