Rajinikanth's Darbar shifts location to Jaipur from Mumbai

A song sequence is expected to be shot in the next schedule of shoot in Jaipur

Rajnikanth is currently working on his 167th film, Darbar, directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Lyca Productions. The team had been shooting for the past few months in Mumbai, and had recently shot some sequences in the Terna specialty hospital.

Now, the Darbar team is all set to shift location, and the next schedule of shoot is said to begin on August 18 at Jaipur, where a song sequence is set to be shot. 

Nayanthara, who has previously worked with Rajini in Chandramukhi and Kuselan, plays the female lead in the film, which has music by Anirudh.

Several Bollywood actors have joined the cast of Darbar, including Pradeep Kabra, Prateik Babbar, Dalip Tahil, and Jatin Sarna. Apart from them, Nivetha Thomas and Yogi Babu are also a part of the film. 

Produced by Lyca Productions, the Mumbai-set film, featuring Rajini in the role of a cop after 25 years, is scheduled for release on January 9, 2020.
