LaBeouf will essay the role of an ex-convict who, after being released from prison for killing a man, tries to get back on his feet with the help of his alcoholic father, De Niro, who is also an ex-con. These two then band together to save LeBeouf's younger brother from a life of drugs and crime.

Directed by Joshua Michael Stern, the script is by Anthony Thorne and Michael Tovo.

De Niro has two big movies — DC's Joker and Martin Scorsese's The Irishman — awaiting release, while LeBeouf has David Ayer's The Tax Collector.
