We had earlier reported Bruce Lee's daughter's dissatisfaction with her father's portrayal in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.  Tarantino, who is currently promoting the film in Moscow, has now responded to the criticism.

“Bruce Lee was kind of an arrogant guy,” said the director. "I didn't just make that up. The way he was talking, I didn’t just make that up. I heard him say things like that. People say, ‘He never said he could beat up Muhammad Ali’. Yes, he did. Not only did he say that, his wife Linda Lee said that in her biography,” Tarantino added.

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood features a scene where Brad Pitt’s character Cliff Booth beats Lee in a one-on-one fight.

The film has generated $108 million at the box office since it premiered in July. It is scheduled to be released in India on Thursday.
