Director Puri Jagannadh, who is back in the reckoning after iSmart Shankar, will join hands with actor Vijay Deverakonda for a romantic action entertainer, announced the makers today.

According to reports, the Dear Comrade actor plays a martial artist with a stutter, in the film produced by Puri and Charmme Kaur under Puri Jagannadh Touring Talkies and PC Connects banner. It is learnt that the director has made it a point to make the content and dialogues entertaining for the audience. 

It may be recalled that Puri has accused the makers of Jr NTR-starrer Jai Lava Kusa of stealing his idea since Jai — one of the three characters in the action drama, directed by Bobby — stammers in the film. Jr NTR, however, denied the news during his interview with Cinema Express.

We hear Puri has made a few changes to his script and has now got Vijay on board. The film is expected to go on floors later this year.

Meanwhile, Vijay Deverakonda is shooting for director Kranthi Madhav's untitled romantic anthology, and Puri is awaiting the release of Romantic, featuring his son and actor Akash in the lead.
