The third season of Bigg Boss Tamil, hosted by Kamal Haasan, marked its 50th day yesterday, and Tharshan Thyagarajah, a model and an upcoming actor from Srilanka, is one of the contestants taking part in the show. Before entering the Bigg Boss house, Dharshan had worked on an untitled film, directed by debutant Radhakrishnan G. The first look of the film, titled Magie, was recently released.

In Magie, Tharshan will be paired with Sanam Shetty, who is rumoured to be his girlfriend. The film, with music by Sam CS, is bankrolled by Reeling Bucks Productions Private Ltd. Magie also stars Ramesh Thilak, Karunakaran, and Pandiarajan

Interestingly, after the title was announced, it was brought to the maker's notice that there has been another film under production, titled Maggy, directed by Kartikeyen Jagadeesh, and bankrolled by Sai Ganesh Pictures. Although the English spellings differ, the Tamil versions of the titles are the same. 

The producers' council has reportedly asked the makers of both the films to sort the issue out amicably.
