Last year's blockbuster Kannada action entertainer KGF Chapter 1 has won two awards - Best Visual Effects and Best Action Choreography. Uday Ravi Hegde of Unifi Media, which worked on the VFX, is happy. "Winning a National Award in Visual Effects, a category which is finally getting its recognition now, has made us all proud. Everyone second person has a computer, but not everybody can become a Visual Artist. The VFX work done for KGF Chapter 1 was not one man's job, it was a creative team effort of 150 people. When a lot of our own filmmakers outsource such work out of the state, director Prashanth Neel put faith in our Bengaluru-based company. Winning a National award is a huge dose of encouragement for us to do better for KGF Chapter 2."

Producer Vijay Kiragandur agreed with Uday. "The recognition makes us feel proud and pushes us to do better. KGF is like a palace and the technicians and artistes were the pillars of it."
