Tamannaah's upcoming horror-comedy, Petromax, directed by Adhey Kangal-fame Rohin Venkatesan, which went on floors in the first week of July in Chennai, has been scheduled for release in the month of September.

The announcement was made through a new poster of the film, featuring Tamannaah holding a key, and seen through a keyhole. Billed as the film's second look, the poster was shared by Aishwarya Rajesh on Twitter.

The film's title, Petromax, comes from Goundamani's famous line, "Petromax lightey daan venumaa?" in his comedy track with Senthil in the 1984 film, Vaidehi Kathirunthal.

Said to be a remake of the Telugu hit, Anando Brahma, starring Taapsee, the film has been shot in 42 days without a break. The first ten days of the shoot happened in Chennai, while the rest of the film was shot in Karaikudi.
