Warner Bros has moved the release of Ben Affleck’s The Way Back from October this year to March 2020.

The film stars Affleck as a former basketball player struggling with addiction, which leads to the loss of his wife and family. It is about how he attempts to make a comeback by becoming the coach of a high school basketball team. Affleck is also one of the co-producers of the film, which is directed by Gavin O’Connor.

The Way Back also stars Janina Gavankar, Hayes MacArthur, Brandon Wilson, and Rachael Carpani, in addition to Al Madrigal as the assistant coach who believes in Affleck. It is reported that this rescheduling is planned to coincide with the start of US college basketball’s March Madness.

The Way Back is expected to clash with Disney/Pixar’s Onward and Paramount’s Dylan O’Brien adventure film, Monster Problems.
