Even before Vijay’s upcoming film, Bigil, hits the screens, speculations have been rife about the Mersal actor’s upcoming projects.

There has been long-time buzz that Vijay and Mohan Raja would be joining hands soon for a new project. While many expected it to be Thalapathy 64, Lokesh Kanagaraj was announced as the director of Vijay's next.

Meanwhile, Jayam Ravi, during press interactions for the promotion of his upcoming film, Comali, has revealed that his brother Mohan Raja and Vijay are very close to each other, and are holding discussions often, to arrive at the right script.

Mohan Raja is currently said to be working on the script for Thani Oruvan 2, and it is likely that he will reunite with Vijay for Thalapathy 65 or Thalapathy 66. The filmmaker earlier directed Vijay in the 2011 film, Velayutham.

Bigil, meanwhile, is slated for a Diwali release.
