Anushka keeps Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy makers waiting!

CE Features

Anushka Shetty has been approached by director Surender Reddy for a small yet significant role in Megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming historical war drama Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. While the makers haven’t revealed what character she was offered, it is believed that the Arundhati star was in talks for the narrator’s role which introduces the character of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, played by Chiranjeevi and also appears before the interval sequence. However, the starlet has neither denied nor agreed to be on board and her silence has been irking the filmmakers, say reports.

“Anushka seems to be in no hurry and if she won’t decide on the film in a week’s time, the team will initiate deliberations with another popular South-Indian actor,” shares a source from the production unit.

Meanwhile, the shooting of Sye Raa... is underway in Kerala and the entire shooting will be wrapped up in May. On the other hand, Anushka, last seen in the Baahubali franchise, has teamed up with R Madhavan for a Hollywood crossover movie, Silence. Directed by Hemant Madhukar, the film, which is being shot in Telugu, Tamil and English, also features Kill Bill actor Michael Madsen in a pivotal role.
