Gautham Karthik-Santhosh P Jayakumar film dropped

CE Features

It looks like Theemai Dhan Vellum, Santhosh P Jayakumar’s film with Gautham Karthik, has been shelved. A source close to the project has revealed that it has been axed due to creative differences between the director and producer. While it was earlier supposed to be financed by Studio Green, the source adds that the script will be filmed with a different production and a new hero. An official announcement about this new collaboration can be expected soon.

Santhosh and Gautham have previously worked together on two films -- Hara Hara Mahadevki and Iruttu Arayil Murattu Kuthu. The director then went on to make the Arya-starrer Ghajinikanth, which was also produced by Studio Green.

Gautham is currently awaiting the release of Devarattam, directed by Kodiveeran-fame Muthaiah. He also has a film titled Chella Pillai, which will be directed by Ponram’s associate, Arun Chidambaram.
