Destination Portugal for Team Adithya Varma

CE Features

Amid rife speculations that Adithya Varma, the Tamil remake of Telugu hit Arjun Reddy, was once again shelved, the makers have rubbished all rumours, stating that the shooting is progressing in full swing. Taking to Twitter to clarify, producer Mukesh Ratilal Mehta said, “So sorry to disappoint whoever is posting these false stories. Shooting in full swing and the crew leaves to Portugal for a song on April 9.” He further added that the film will hit the screens as announced in July.

The Tamil remake of Arjun Reddy was earlier directed by Bala, under the name Varmaa. However, due to creative differences, the producers decided to reshoot the entire project with a predominantly new cast and crew, retaining only Dhruv Vikram as the lead and music director Radhan. The new version, titled Adithya Varma, is being directed by Gireesaya, an erstwhile associate of Sandeep Reddy Vanga and assistant director on Arjun Reddy. It also stars October-fame Banita Sandhu, Priya Anand, and Anbudaasan in important roles.
