Director BS Lingadevaru, who is in talks with Kavaludaari hero Rishi for the lead role in his Daari Thapisu Devare, has also zeroed in on the film's female lead. The director has roped in Sruthi Hariharan for the role.

Lingadevaru says, “I was in discussion with Sruthi, who finally gave her nod today.” For the music, which will be worked on first, the filmmaker has brought in Anoop Seelin. The film will kickstart sometime in November.

Meanwhile, Sruthi, who is looking forward to the release of Ambi Ning Vayassaytho, has currently completed shooting for Mansore’s Nathicharami and Manju Swaraj’s directorial.
