Director James Wan, known for his work in the horror genre (The Conjuring universe), is now going to produce the remake of the 2016 Korean zombie film, Train to Busan. The South Korean hit film, directed by Yeon Sang-Ho, follows a group of people on a train who fight to survive a zombie outbreak within the confines of the train.

Gary Dauberman, known for writing the scripts for Annabelle, Annabelle: Creation, and The Nun, as well as the upcoming Annabelle film, is expected to write the screenplay for the remake. While the director has not been confirmed, it is speculated that Dauberman might himself direct the film.

James Wan, who is also producing a feature-length adaptation of the horror short Milk and an adaptation of Stephen King's The Tommyknockers, is currently awaiting the December release of his DCEU-directorial, Aquaman.
