SPB sings for Karthi's Dev

CE Features

Veteran singer SP Balasubramaniam has lent his voice for a song in Karthi's upcoming film, Dev. Karthi took to Twitter and shared a picture of himself along with the film's director, Rajath Ravishankar, SPB and the music director, Harris Jayaraj. The actor captioned the image: "From National Panasonic radio set days as a kid till date, always spellbound by his magical voice. Never even dreamt of me appearing on the screen when his voice reverberates in the theatres."

This will be the first time SPB has sung for Karthi. Interestingly, the song Yamma Yamma which SPB had sung for Karthi's brother, Suriya, in 7 Aum Arivu was also composed by Harris Jayaraj, and Kabilan, who had penned Yamma Yamma, is the lyricist for Dev as well.

Dev, which reunites Karthi with his Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru co-star, Rakul Preet, also stars Prakash Raj as Karthi's father and Ramya Krishnan as Rakul Preet's mother. Produced by Prince Pictures, the film will see cinematographer Velraj reuniting with Karthi for the second consecutive time after Kadaikutty Singam.
