Producer 'Kamakshi' Siva Prasad Reddy no more

Producer D Siva Prasad Reddy (popularly known as Kamakshi Siva Prasad Reddy) has breathed his last at a private hospital in Chennai on Saturday. 

He had recently undergone an emergency open-heart surgery and has died of cardiac arrest this morning. 

He was 62 and is survived by his two sons -- Chandan Reddy and Kailash Reddy.  

Siva Prasad Reddy began his journey in the industry as a film financier and established the film house, Kamakshi Movies in 1985. He produced 15 films and some of the well-known films are Karthika Pournami, Vikki Dada, Mutha Mesthri, Allari Alludu, Seetharama Raju, Eduruleni Manishi and Greeku Veerudu.

He was a close associate of the Akkineni family and has produced 11 films with Nagarjuna in the lead role.

Siva Prasad Reddy's younger son Kailash made his acting debut earlier this year with Sai Dharam Tej-starrer Tej I Love You and is also playing a crucial role in Akhil Akkineni's Mr Majnu.

Several industry personalities have condoled Siva Prasad Reddy's death. His last rites will be performed later today in Chennai.
