Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Athiya Shetty started shooting today for their upcoming film, Motichoor Chaknachoor, in Lucknow. Directed by Debamitra Hasan and produced by Rajesh Bhatia, the film is described as a ‘quiry wedding comedy’.

The story revolves around a comedy of errors that ensues between two families during a small-town wedding. The film promises to be a lighthearted departure from Nawaz’s previous film, Manto. Besides Motichoor Chaknachoor, the actor will be seen in Thackeray, a biopic on Shiv Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackeray, and also in the Tamil film Petta, alongside Rajinikanth.

Athiya Shetty made her Bollywood debut in the 2015 film Hero. She is the daughter of Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty. Her last two appearances were in Mubarakan and Nawabzaade. She is also filming for a biopic on Kashmiri footballer Afshan Ashiq, titled Hope Solo and directed by Manish Harishankar.
