CE Features

It was recently announced that Ayushmann Khurrana will be starring opposite Nushrat Bharucha in an upcoming romantic comedy produced by Ekta Kapoor. The title of the film, as revealed by Ayushmann on Friday, is Dream Girl.

The film will be directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa who has previously written the screenplays of Welcome Back (2015), Bhoomi (2017) and Jabariya Jodi (2019).

Ayushmann Khurrana recently delivered a one-two punch at the Indian box-office with Sriram Raghavan’s AndhaDhun and Amit Ravindranath Sharma’s Badhaai Ho. Both films — made in moderate budgets and released two weeks apart in October — enjoyed overwhelming critical and commercial success, with Badhaai Ho grossing more than 200 crore against a production cost of 29 crores.

Nushrat Bharucha’s last film, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, directed by Luv Ranjan, was another major commercial success of 2018. Besides Dream Girl, the actor will also be seen opposite Rajkummar Rao in Hansal Mehta’s Turram Khan.
