Chinmayi claims that Radha Ravi's Datuk title is fake

Singer Chinmayi Sripaada, who was recently terminated from the Tamil Nadu Dubbing Union for not paying the subscription fee, has questioned the authenticity of its president, Radha Ravi’s Datuk honour. The singer has claimed that Radha Ravi was not bestowed the title by the Malaysian Government, and has shared a screenshot of an e-mail she received from the Melaka chief minister's office in response to her query about the matter.

The e-mail sent by Prashanth Kumar Brakasam, the Special Secretary of the state's CM states that the actor's name "is not in their state government system and he has not been awarded any title from our state government."

Though the news of Radha Ravi being conferred the reputed title by the Malaysian government circulated in 2012, it now appears that there is no actual evidence to substantiate it.

Chinmayi also took to Twitter to complain that Radha Ravi named the Dubbing Union building after himself despite collecting the money to build it from the members.

Radha Ravi was unavailable for comment on this issue.
