Even as speculations are rife about Ajith featuring in a Tamil remake of Bollywood hit, Pink, filmmaker Shoojit Sircar, the producer of the original film, has confirmed that a remake of the Amitabh Bachchan-Taapsee Pannu-starrer is indeed in the works.

Talking to a newspaper, the National Award-winning filmmaker shared that while he might not be directing the remake, the Tamil team will be screening the film to him after it is made. However, this doesn't put an end to the rumours about Ajith reprising Amitabh Bachchan's role from the original. It is also unclear if this is the much-awaited collaboration between Ajith and Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru-director, H Vinoth.

The Vivegam actor will next be seen in director Siva's Viswasam, which will mark his fourth collaboration with the Siruthai director. Viswasam is set to hit the screens this Pongal and will clash with Rajinikanth-Karthik Subbaraj's Petta at the box office.
