A sequel to Nayanthara’s Aramm, one of her biggest hits last year, has been on the cards ever since the movie’s release. But it now looks like the film will go on floors most likely in February, after Nayanthara finishes with her current assignment.

Contrary to several media reports, Nayanthara will not be playing a politician in the film says director Gopi Nainar. “Nayanthara won’t be playing a politician but the film will continue to address important social issues. It will be more hard-hitting than the first part,” he says.

Nayanthara is currently working on Sarjun’s horror thriller Airaa that is set to release this December. The Imaikka Nodigal actor also has Viswasam, the Rajesh-Sivakarthikeyan film in the pipeline.
